On March 23 Gov. Inslee announced the "Stay Home" order that has kept Washington state on lockdown for the past one and a half weeks. Today, the order, which previously did not have a set expiration date, was extended to May 4, 2020. This extension does not change any of the previously set restrictions for the "Stay Home" order, only keeps the state on lockdown for one more month. At this time I don't have any information on how this will effect school closures or things of that sort, though it's very likely that schools will extend their closures as well to work with the order. The governor has said that he is doing everything in his power to help those in "financially perilous" situations by: "increasing unemployment insurance access, prohibiting evictions for not paying rent, providing utility ratepayer assistance, and making tax payment flexible"
